Francis D’Addario

Francis D’Addario is an Emeritus Faculty member at the Security Executive Council (SEC). He presently co-leads global next generation leader talent development, operational work groups, and solution innovation consulting services. The former Starbucks Coffee Partner and Asset Protection Head collaboratively helped operationalize people protection and enterprise all-hazard risk mitigation with over a decade of persuasive multi-million dollar returns on investment. His simple yet measurable mission for next generation leaders remains: “Protect people. Secure assets. Contribute margin.”

Prior to Starbucks, Francis led cross-functional teams in the convenience store and quick service restaurant industry sectors where Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) implementations reduced average violence by 89% with hundreds of millions of dollars in cost avoidance. He co-founded Crime Prevention Associates, International; The All-Hazard Risk Leadership Laboratory (AR2L) and co-developed LossVision and RED, enterprise risk reporting, assessment and mitigation tools.

In addition to an undergraduate degree in criminology and police administration, Francis pursued graduate forensic sciences at George Washington University. He is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy. He qualified for numerous subject matter expert and instructor designations including Certified Protection Professional (CPP-ASIS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Community Emergency Responder (FEMA CERT) and Next Generation Security Leader (SEC). He has served as a guest instructor for The National Crime Prevention Institute (University of Louisville), Eastern Kentucky University, University of North Carolina (Injury Prevention Research Center); as well as the Darla Moore International Business School, Risk and Uncertainty Management Institute.
