Chris Story
Senior Protective Operations Leader, Consultant and Specialist Trainer
Chris Story is a security professional with over 25 years’ experience managing, conducting and consulting in protective security and intelligence operations. He is a senior protective operations leader, consultant and specialist trainer with an extensive operational background in domestic/international arenas. He brings significant experience in standard and non-standard protective security and intelligence operations with tangible experience in permissive, semi-permissive and high-risk environments.
Chris has developed high-net-worth (HNW), corporate and government protective and security operations programs using risk-based intelligence driven protection strategies, techniques and technology. He also spent 3.5 years in Iraq and 4.5 years in Afghanistan in various protective roles, and has evaluated HNW, corporate and government security programs for security and effectiveness.
Chris holds a BA in Security Management from American Military University, an MA in Management and Leadership from Liberty University, and an MBA from Keller School of Management. He proudly served for 14 years in the US Army as a Counterintelligence Agent, Ranger and Infantryman. He also has experience from multiple specialized training courses from the U.S Army and other civilian organizations.
Chris sits on The International Protective Security Board, an organization dedicated to professionalizing and furthering education in the protective industry and is an ASIS member. He is also the Co-Founder and Co-Host of Conversations in Close Protection, a podcast about the close protection industry and those in it.
