Edna J. Perry is the Vice President of Global Security and Global Crisis Management at American Express. Edna holds responsibility for physical security, executive protection, protective intelligence, fire safety, employee travel and corporate event security. Edna joined American Express from PepsiCo where she was the Senior Director of Executive Protection, responsible for developing, managing, and executing the executive protection program for the Chairman & CEO, Board of Directors, and other PepsiCo senior executives.

Prior to her career in the private sector, Edna served for over 25 years as a senior executive with the US Secret Service. Over the course of her career, she held several key positions at the White House while serving within the Presidential Protection Division under Presidents William Clinton, G.W. Bush, and Barack Obama. Edna also held top positions on the Vice President’s Detail and retired from the US Secret Service as the Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas Texas Field Office. She received a Presidential Distinguished Service Award for actions performed on September 11, 2011 by President George W. Bush.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Edna transferred to many different States during her US Secret Service career and currently resides in New York. Edna has a myriad of passions including being a boxer dog mom, and an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle rider.
