Dave Benson MS, CTM

Dave is an accomplished security professional with over 40 years of Public and Private Sector expertise in the areas of Security Management, Protective Operations, Travel Security, Executive Protection, Contingency Planning, Workplace Violence Training, and Vulnerability/Risk Assessment and Mitigation.

Dave had an acclaimed career with the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) as a Senior Special Agent. Dave served as Director of the Diplomatic Security Training Center in Washington DC where he was responsible for all Security, Engineering, and Law Enforcement training within the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, which included the coordination and delivery of Travel Security Training for the Foreign Affairs Community.

Prior to his government service, Dave served in various management positions for Walt Disney World Security, in Orlando, Florida. He served a major role in the oversight of the DS planning and coordination for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Dave is a member of The Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), a Certified Threat Manager (CTM), and serves as the President of the Florida ATAP Board of Directors.
