Cookie Notice
Last updated: August 2026
This Cookie Notice explains how Ontic Technologies, Inc. (“Ontic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on ontic.co and related Ontic websites (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Client and Prospect Privacy Notice, which describes how we handle personal information collected through the Site and in connection with our business relationships. For information about personal data processed through the Ontic platform on behalf of our clients, please see our Data Subject Privacy Notice.
You can accept, reject, or manage cookies at any time through our cookie banner and preference center, as described below.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve their performance, and to provide reporting and advertising information. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by other organizations that provide services to us, such as analytics or advertising providers, are called “third-party cookies.” We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage, which we refer to collectively as “cookies” in this Notice.
How we use cookies
We use cookies to keep the Site secure and working properly, to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it, and to measure and support our marketing. Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are required to provide a secure, functioning website. Where required by applicable law, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we rely on your consent for non-essential cookies and do not set or access those cookies until you have provided consent. Where consent is not required, including in the United States, we set non-essential cookies when you visit the Site and you may opt out at any time. You may withdraw your consent or change your choices at any time.
Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the Site to function and to keep it secure, and cannot be switched off. They include cookies that support core functionality, load balancing, and bot protection, as well as cookies that remember your cookie preferences. These do not require consent.
Performance cookies. These help us understand how visitors interact with the Site by collecting information such as which pages are visited and how visitors move through the Site. The information may include online or device identifiers and may be aggregated after collection. We use this to measure and improve Site performance. These cookies are subject to your choices.
Functional cookies. These allow the Site to remember choices you make and to provide enhanced features, such as testing different versions of pages to improve your experience. These cookies are subject to your choices.
Targeting cookies. These are set by us and by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and show you more relevant content on other sites. They may also be set by embedded content such as videos. These cookies are subject to your choices.
Third parties that set cookies
Some cookies and similar technologies may be placed by third-party service providers that support website analytics, advertising, marketing, content delivery, embedded content, security, and other website functionality. These providers may collect information about your device, browser, interactions with the Site, and online activity in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies.
International processing
Some of the providers identified above may process information in the United States or other countries where they or we operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, we take appropriate measures, as described in our Client and Prospect Privacy Notice.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the rights to access or delete it, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent or opt out at any time. Withdrawing consent or opting out does not affect processing that occurred before you did so. To learn more about these rights and how to exercise them, please see our Client and Prospect Privacy Notice.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising” of personal information under certain U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time by rejecting or disabling Targeting cookies in the cookie preference center. Where required by applicable law, we also honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control.
Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit the Site, our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose which categories to allow. Where we set non-essential cookies without consent, your choices apply going forward and rejecting a category will stop those cookies from being used. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by opening the cookie preference center through the “Cookie Settings,” “Your Privacy Choices,” or “Site Privacy” link on the Site. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled because they are required for the Site to work.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking future ones. Because some cookies are essential, blocking all cookies may affect how the Site functions. Because we record your cookie choices in a cookie, those choices apply to the browser and device you used to make them, and you may need to make them again if you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device. For more information about cookies and how to manage them, you can visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Changes to this Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal or operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Notice.
