Lou Silvestris heads the Risk Intelligence and Investigations Team at American Family Insurance, where he identifies and mitigates global risks to the company’s people, assets, and events. His team provides strategic insights and manages workplace violence risks. Before entering the corporate sector, Lou served in the CIA and Department of Homeland Security, holding various roles in operations, analysis, and management. He began his CIA career as an analyst on weapons development, later transitioning to counter-narcotics and counter-terrorism operations.
